The stage is set - the Oyster Championships returns to Swallow Street
For the third year, Bentley's are thrilled to host the London Oyster Championships on Friday 19th September! Proudly sponsored by Nyetimber and SevenRooms, this year's event is set to be bigger and better than ever.
With the help of our friends at Gaucho, the 2025 edition of the event - which includes the English Oyster Open and the Best Dressed contest - will take over Swallow Street for a day long festival.
The only way to celebrate the return of the glorious Native Oyster season, this years event is not to be missed!
The English Oyster Open
England's best and brightest Oyster Shuckers will battle it out to be crowned the English Oyster Opening Champion - going on to represent the country at the World Championships in Galway the following week.
Following a set of strict rules in accordance with the European Standard, our shuckers will be judged by leading industry experts - Nicki Holmyard, David Jarrad and Christopher Leftwich.

Best Dressed
On the other stage, some of the country's best Chef's will be offering up their take on an oyster dressing, designed to harmonise with our glorious Native Oysters perfectly.
Our judges will select their favourites, based on flavour, appearance and theme, with our winner taking home the crown of London's Best Dressed, their dressing featuring on the Bentley's menu and a host of other prizes!
